March Pacifica Update

Hello, everyone!

Welcome to the March update. I took a short holiday hiatus to catch up on some work and organize myself for the new year, but now I’m back! What’s in the cards for Pacifica in 2023?

Exclusive Content!

I’m going to be posting new content to Patreon and Ko-fi weekly, so if you want to get some exclusive content check out either of those sites. I’ve built up an archive of images, behind the scenes info, and lore about the world of Pacifica. I also share some of my photography that I use as reference for my art. Additionally, you’ll be able to interact with me on Patreon, Ko-fi, or Discord. I’ll give you the latest news about the comic and hang out to chat about interesting topics or answer your questions. Book Two Kickstarter!

The next big thing for Pacifica will be the Kickstarter for the next book in the series: Birds of a Feather. I’ve had time to continue working on the book and improve it. There will be some awesome new rewards available including comics from other great creators! Look for the pre-launch page later this month. The new and improved book will be in your hands by June of this year.

Local Events!

If you’d like to catch me in person and get some signed merch you’ll be able to catch me at the Redwood Acres Flea Market most months. I’m also going to be attending other local events. Arts Alive Eureka, Friday Night Markets, and Fortuna Auto Expo are just a few of the events I’m planning to attend in 2023. Stay tuned to get information about those appearances. If you know of any events in Humboldt you’d like to see me at be sure to let me know.

November News Update

Hello, everyone.

It’s been a while, so there are a couple things to catch up on.

First, the Kickstarter for Birds of a Feather finished unsuccessfully, but this is just a minor setback. I’m going to use this extra time to add some extra polish to the book and really make it fantastic. There will be a redo campaign early next year, probably in April or May. I’ll talk about that more as we get closer to that date.

Secondly, I’ve been trying to do a local meet up of comic creators. We’re going to try a later meeting time this month for those that work a 9-5. If you’re in Humboldt County, CA, come hang out with local comic artists and chill. Everyone welcome. Time and date below:

Pacifica: Birds of a Feather Kickstarter Launches Oct 5th!

The Pacifica: Birds of a Feather Kickstarter will launch on Oct 5th! Follow along to get reminded on launch day!

Pacifica: Birds of a Feather is the second book in the Pacifica fantasy adventure series. It is a comic inspired by the environments and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest with fairy tale aspects and an 1800s feel. The misty redwood forests of Humboldt County have a fairy tale atmosphere to them and that feeling is something I hope to share through the comic. In a nutshell, the comic is about mountain men, monsters, and magic.

Birds of a Feather introduces two new characters: Gale & Zephyr. The two jay folk siblings happen upon an unconscious young man in the forest while traveling. Who is this young man and should they help him? Zeph and Gale have differing opinions from the start. Join them on the journey as they debate a course of action and learn more about the young human.

Although the book is a continuation of Finding a Path it is designed with new readers in mind, so you do not need to read the first volume. (But it is available should you want it.)

Pacifica is intended to be a premium comic. The book will be magazine sized (8.5”x11”), full colored, and 28 pages. The cover will be 130# stock and interior pages will be 80#. This will be a special Kickstarter edition that will contain bonus content for this run only. The expected run is 300 books and once they are gone so is the bonus content.
